Follow up to my 3-26 post Bad Choice.  Blew it last Wednesday but was ready yesterday.  Same area.  Set up in a heavy fog.  Had a steady parade of jakes and hens until 10am,  This guy and his buddy came in gobbling hard and attacked our Funky Chicken decoy. I shot this one.  My buddy, we were sitting together, got the 2nd when he started to pound my flopper.  Good day all around.  Good luck to everyone.

Congratulations. Sounds like a fun hunt. Do those funky chickens actually work?

Better than you can imagine IMO.  I'll add a picture of this hunt an hour earlier around 9am. These jakes approach cautiously and stare for several minutes.  The two longbeards we did kill went straight for it. We positioned it over a breeding hen decoy.  Perspective a little off.  Looks like the decoys a long way  off.  They re at 20 steps.
