I finished this Desert Ironwood Burl trumpet today, a really nice blank that took some care to keep it in one piece.

Greg, that's a stunning piece of desert ironwood.  Congratulations on keeping it in one piece. I cringe thinking about what your comment implies. Everyone likes burl, but turning burl is risky business....and you don't always see the loss coming.....
