I finished up a few more from gobbler bones. They are fun projects

Very sharp looking bones! Really like your wrapping. How do they sound?

Guskie

They're gobbler bones and I do think they have a slightly lower tone than the hen and jake wings. I would hunt any of them though. I filled two of the gobbler radius bones with epoxy and drill them out with a 3/32" bit, but they don't sound any different to the others to my ear.

Thank you for your reply. Sound is probably older hen and/or gobbler?

Guskie

To me they sound like an older hen

And I will admit, I do not know what I'm doing, lol. Just have fun in the off season

Those look real nice!

they look great and from the wrapping I would definitely think you have rod building experience.

Those look awesome.

Impressive, mine look like garbage compared to those, howeer they do kill turkeys!

I have only made them from Tom's as I do not fall hunt or shoot Jake's.

I was thinking of making some hybrid calls park wing bones and part cane or something?  I also have some 30/06 brass I would like to use, came from a 21 gun solute at my Wife's uncles funeral.

I'm wanting to make a couple wing bones myself. What are you guys using to smooth out the joints? I've seen folks on YouTube use thread but this is so smooth it looks like clay.  What's the secret? Also how are you getting them so shiny.  These things look like stained and polished wood. That's amazing. Any websites or YouTube videos would be great for pointers
