First Gobbler....

...at almost 50...good lord.
Sat on a field I'd scouted for a bit with 2 decoys. Gobblers in the woodline, but none wanted to play. 10am 2 hens came out...nothing else. One hung around the decoys when other hens started coming out. I was glassing them through the blind when I looked at the decoys and bam....big ole fella all blowed up. Deep breath...dot on target...night night. Not sure why Iw aited so long to hunt turkey....just too busy chasing tuna offshore I suppose. But now....now I get it.

Congrats! Try it without a blind, where he can see your heartbeat and hear you blink.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

Hopefully the first of many. Congratulations on a really nice bird!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, tired, beat, thoroughly used up and totally worn out from chasing turkeys and loudly proclaiming; "WOW -- What a Ride!"
