Alps Grand Slam vest

Got one for $84 from midway. First thing to go was the frame, lol. It's really stiff and set up differently than my vest. I will give it a try. It's a good thing that it is a backup. Z

I was looking at the same vest but decided on the Tidwe like the Alps it also has the frame but like you I took it off didn't really care for it. We'll see how it works out. Hope you the best with it. God bless

I've been using the Grandslam for 3-4 years now. I also ditched the frame immediately. I folded the top of the back over and sewed it down to keep the back pouch from sagging so much. I've liked the vest pretty well.

It fits decent. I'll just be grabbing the wrong spot for a while . Totally different set up than my old Tatr III. Z
