Title: Anyone Shooting Rooster XR?
Post by: Spring Creek Calls on April 05, 2020, 08:32:43 AM
Anyone shooting Win Rooster XR  in #6. Want to pattern some when my Model 12 comes back from Briley but concerned about the pattern problems that seem to exist with the Long Beards. They have the same solid buffer.

I only have some bought when they first come out. 125-140 in the 10 at 40 yards.
21" Remington hevi-choke .662 and Carlson .660 chokes . 2 3/4" Rooster XR 6.

I do when I hunt with my old 12g Browning A5, which takes 2-3/4" shells only.

Don’t want to steal this thread but am thinking about Roosters myself...please do tell!

They are a very nice shell. A heck of a deal at 15 rounds per box. Very low recoil. Nice even patterns out to the 20".
Only thing is I have never seen any since.
Bass pro did have the ones I bought.
Try Feb. 25th 2016. Lead shooter section.
