Got out and shot the Gold tonight with Longbeards. Shot patterns with a Hastings .685 and my Star Dot which mic's at .667-.668. 40 yards measured with a fiberglass tape, 75 degrees.
Hastings did a 144.

Star Dot. I did a recount by moving the plate a smidge down and left, 153 initial count, recount after pics yielded 165.

SSX .643 40 yards LB 3" #5 Not real impressed, may try #6 LB through this tight choke as it did better with #6 Thugs compared to the #5 Thugs.

Here is a 3" #5 Longbeard through the factory flush full. I don't know if these loads need a bit of choke to help upset the resin used as a buffer or what but they did no better through this choke than any of my standard buffered 1 7/8 oz. or 2 oz. loads of #4 or #5. Nothing even about the 10" or overall pattern.

I'm shooting the 5's in my 835 with a .675 Indian Creek and I'm getting around 200-210 in the 10

3 1/2"??

That star dot combo has a pretty nice even center core, nothing wrong with the Hastings either. That SSX does have to many gaps in it, your idea with the 6's would probably work better.
