I've been wanting a Turkey Tote!!! I'm not sure if I want a sling style or just the spurs carrier. Any pics or ideas will be greatly appreciated!!
Good luck this spring!!!
Captain Hooks on here makes them from para chords. I have 1 and like it. He might have something in the miscellaneous classified I am not sure where to find it but you can probably search it
I prefer the sling type. I have used one for many years. The first ones we used was nothing more than a little rope with a loop on each end. Then we upgraded to old shotgun slings, then finally 15-20 years ago to the paracord style. You can't see it, but get the idea.

Looks like one of Noones or is it Nobody? One of the two.
Para cords are nice but can get nasty in rain, snow or mud and I seem to attract every type of nasty weather. It just appears that the weaved para cord is harder to clean. Got bored one winter and made a couple of totes from deer antler, para cord and two steel rings or washers. Made two in fact. I only use single lines and attach (drill through) to the antler, tie both lines about 4 inches from the antler to make the lines run together. Tie two washers or steel rings to the end of the lines.
Can't count the number of turkeys I hauled with these totes. One has a larger handle for longer distances and the other is smaller for those short trips. Also use them for hauling coyotes out of the field. If I get a chance will post pictures.
Made mine from paracord, simple to do yourself and cheap to do. Couple of welded rings at the ends. The wide section in the center softens it on the shoulder.

I made a couple of the spur-type for myself out of paracord, used an improved clinch knot melted closed instead of a metal ring though.
Try moonshine on here on OG, he makes leather slings and totes which are really nice.
x2 for Moonshine Leatherworks.
X3 for moonshine leather works. His work it top notch

The only way to get a turkey out; I just use rope.
PM Old gobbler member "Captain Hooks" with EZoutdoors for paracord slings.
Here's his Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/EZOutdoors?ref=shop_sugg
They work great. Very comfortable toting one out and keeps your hands free.

That's it, could not remember name it is Anybody.
Thanks all, this s what I was looking for! Now to decide if I want leather or para cord!
Those leather ones are pretty sweet.
I'm just gonna stuff the ol boy in my game bag though.
I made a sling style one from paracord. Didn't take long n was super easy. Kinda nice when your hands are full grabbing saplings coming down a mtn to have one strapped to your back
Check out moonshine on Facebook. I was gifted a long padded sling from a hunting buddy and I just bought my son and myself a short one. I figure they will each get used for different type hunts. I look forward to trying them out. I used a paracord one last year, used it a bunch and on short walks it wasn't bad. That being said after toting a heavy bird about 2 miles down a gravel road in CA I thought it was gonna cut a groove in my shoulder.

Hurry put the mask back on, :TooFunny: :TooFunny: :toothy12:
I have a couple totes from EZ Outdoors. I love them. I had 1 and bought a second after a trip where a buddy and I doubled. One trip out carrying both birds was enough for me to purchase a second.
