Title: Ol tom vestless shirt?
Post by: Dtrkyman on May 17, 2018, 10:34:07 PM
Anyone running this shirt, look interesting but not sure I want a pot call bouncing around in a pocket?

Thanks

I've got one and like it for the days I'm running light. The pot call fits snug in the pocket. No bouncing around for me personally.

I wear one every day  i hunt. There is a small pocket in the pocket that keeps the pot call from bouncing. I never notice the call is in there until i need to get it out.

I own 3 or 4 of them and that is all I will hunt out of, but I still use a vest or satchel. I love the pockets and the design. I did take the back cushions out of the shirts. I like the coolness, especially late season in GA when temps can hit upper 80's and low 90's. I have went with just the shirt with a pot call in the pocket and had no issues either losing nor being uncomfortable with the call. I like the zipper/magnet combo on the pockets and will slide a trumpet in one of the pockets still on a lanyard and be able to zip it up for protection.

I first thought the mouth call pockets was ridiculous but have found them to be extremely helpful in keeping up with a mouth call during the hunt.

The shirt is extremely light (without the back pads) and are well made. I'm thinking of using them on an upcoming gulf coast inshore fishing trip instead of my Columbia shirts due to the zip up pockets and coolness of the shirts

Thanks guys...I have a 10x shirt that is ultra light but keeping a pot call in that chest pocket is not great...many of the warmer days finds me ditching the vest but I like having one pot call!

What size do you wear? I have a xx in obsession I'd part with. I'm not that big of a fan of mine

I'll add to my post, its all ive worn shirtwise for the last 6-7 years. I cut about 1/4 of the back pad out so it didn't push up in the back of my neck when i was in the truck or leaning back against a tree.  I found that if i took it completely out the seat magnets on the back of the shirt snap together, and be careful around trucks, i've had my magnets pop on to the bed of the truck a time or two. And, for some people the wrists can be a little tight.
