Hey guys I was just wondering if you've already had your opening day or your opening day is coming what will be in your vest? We all have a ton of calls but I would like to know what made it to the woods box calls Strikers pot calls purr pots etc.

all im carrying this year is a Halloran top shelf crystal with a cherry striker and a 2 gooserbat mouthcalls. any more than this is unnecessary. what did you think of the Halloran ebony/walnut box, I gave mine to a 11 year old kid. I thought it was, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, not very good.
Top shlef is a good one. Wish I could carry 3 things but if I did I'd have alot of wasted money in my collection. Seems to me every year they like something different or each day they may want something else like a yelper, or metal type call. Anyways good luck this spring

Hopefully a dead gobbler is what I'll have in my vest!
But call wise probably just new Sinclair brass I picked up, Hanks signature glass, no-name slate, and assortment of mouth calls.
Hopefully about 11 inches of beard and some sharp hooks!!!! A wicked sister a bottle of water and some tp!
Finally upgraded my old vest and sprung for the Alps Outdoor Z Grand Slam vest. I'm not using it with the kickstand feature but really like all the pockets in all the right places and the cushion is super thick. Its a little on the heavy side and so far only used it in Florida for 3 days so I wont have a complete review till after the NY season is over but so far I like it.

Assorted diaphragm calls (Gooserbat and Hook's). Most go in my diaphragm necklace tote, and a couple go into my vest pouch (in case they are lost from one area I have spares in the other).
2 box calls (Likely SS and Primos Heartbreaker)
2 scratch boxes (likely Lonnie Gilbert and maybe my new Duffin call) with strikers
Gobble call (which I have used both as a locator call, and a call to get birds excited or aggressive).
Owl call and hawk call (sometimes I remove these depending on where I hunt; some smaller properties a locator call is useless).
Rain gear is on if I expect rain, or I might put it in my game bag if expecting. Headlamp is on if I need it, and left in the truck if I do not.
This year, I am going to add ant spray to see if it helps... The red ants near the trees are awful.

I may be in my vest. Or it might be hanging in the basement. I tend to not get to excited till all the part timers wear themselves out. I hunt an hour or two here and there until the first two weeks have passed.

I don't generally use a vest anymore. IF I did, the answer would be "Way too much". Simple butt pack now with a pot call, TP, pruners, water bottle, maybe a snack and a couple extra shells.

Interesting topic. I guess I'm not extreme in either direction but I lean heavy.
Not vest related but I never enter the woods for anything without wearing my AGC Kodiak C.U.B. bino harness with my Vortex 8x42s and Ranger 1k. I'll probably store some of my mouth calls or shells in my harness as well.
