What is everybody's take on putting brand logos on their guns? I thought about putting one of the MO stickers, that came in the wrap kit, on my gun, but feel as though it is too much like trying to show a sponsor, which I do not have... I have toyed with the idea of getting a few small turkey tracks to put on the barrel, but that is about it.
The way I see it it's your gun do whatever you like. Not really my thing, but I've seen a few that I thought were really neat. Nothing wrong with customizing a gun to your liking...
We used to sell speciality made up stikers for the barrel. Just be careful it isnt a high tack decal or it could do harm to a finish, we had found they are too sticky. We used a Low tack decal paper and it work great!! Just wanted to let you know in case you didnt. Didnt mean to barge in. Annette
Not my cup of tea, but I don't do stickers on my truck either.
I was thinking of doing the same with a Backcountry Hunters and Anglers decal I have but I also don't want it to wear off if it gets wet or whatever could happen to it. Was looking for application advice
I had a couple made up for my gun/guns.

I painted a strutting tom on my stock and turkey tracks on the action, but no brand names on my gun.
I like them.

Never looked at naming my gun with stickers, It already has a name it's called GUN... if you want a sticker on your gun or some kind of name, go for it, i don't think it will help it kill any better...but it may make you feel better...
Never really thought one way or the other... Brand names are definitely for advertising on the TV shows, but if you like, and want to endorse a product? Go for it! The barrel stickers are kinda cool too.
I would "fly the flag" with this decal that Sumtoy uses as his avatar!
If the mfg. didn't want you flying their flag they would not have sent the sticker. It's advertising not sponsorship.
I'm having a really hard time accepting the fact we are discussing the ethical appearances of having a sticker on a gun.....

??? ??? I don't think that was the question... more of whether you like the looks or don't. No ethical dilemma here.
The OP said he was unsure about the appearance of having a sponsorship, while not having one. To post the question that way makes it appear that he is concerned that someone will be lead to believe something that isn't true. Seems like an ethics question to me.

Gotcha! That's the thing about the written word - it's typed with a specific meaning, yet can be read with various. I agree - just advertising.
And sadly, to the despair of thousands upon thousands of rednecks country wide -
NO, we don't really believe you are on Team Realtree, part of the Bone Collector Brotherhood, are sponsored by Primos - whether you "speak the language" or not. ;D
If the company name has a logo I like or if I have some kind of connection to the company, then I will fly their flag. However, for the most part I take off any and all decals with company names. I'm the guy that pulls off the decals the dealership puts on when you buy a vehicle from them.
Again, I like the barrel and stock stickers with "cool" logos and phrases, but I don't care for big company names/logos.
Not so much a fan of the barrel stickers, or any other product logos for that matter.
However, if someone paid me to advertise for them, I might be interested (depending on the company). Otherwise, I am not all that interested in promoting someone else's product.
If I died n someone put em on my gun I'd come back n haunt em! You can n should do whatever you like though but remember many barrel stickers are white n so is s turkeys head sometimes
Try not to overthink my OP. Just curious as to what people think/feel about brand logo decals/stickers on their equipment. MO included stickers with the kit, so that is what I used as an example.
I don't .
However, I sure laugh when I see " Meat Stick" on someone's gun ...

It's your rig, bud. If you think it looks cool then slap it on there without hesitating. If you don't like it then don't. Who's to tell you what to do with something you paid for with your hard earned dollar? No one.
I don't like all the stickers and such to much like the lame TV hero's and I don't want my gun looking like a NASCAR entry.I've noticed more of the team this team that hunting attitude last few years I keep waiting for the fad to die out but I don't think it has even peaked yet.
If you want to put a logo on your gun, shirt, hat, truck, etc., just make sure the color scheme doesn't put you in danger. Personally, I prefer not to have logos on my gear or truck but that's just me. But then, I'm old! ;D
No stickers or decals for me. I don't really care for them.
My buddy put this on his gun...he thinks it's so funny, I personally think it's stupid but he did it for himself not me so to each his/her own(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170221/f8b8014e1c235334fb6951425e329e3b.jpg)

If I were to put a sticker on my gun it would be small and inconspicuous because I like the way the camo paint turned out on my gun.

Nope. Only way I would ever deface a firearm or my truck with a sticker, I better be getting paid well for it. Won't give a company free advertising.
I drive around everyday with my "Logo" on my truck!

I don't see it as giving free advertising, I see it as showing support for a company that makes good products that I like. But then I've never put a sticker on my gun. I have a few on my truck but only for things that are important to me.

Honestly I think the sponsors look pretty damn silly. We pay to have camo guns then we slap a MOJO on the side of the barrel like it's a Nascar or somthing.
I do think a little personalization can look cool though.
I'm not much for stickers, but I have to say, three or four smallish black turkey tracks along the stock of a camo gun would look kinda cool.

I was actually thinking of drawing three tracks on my barrel (one for each turkey I have killed), and drawing another each time I kill a bird...
Next thing before you know it will be turkey tracks camouflaged :icon_thumright:
I don't like the stickers that car dealers put on trucks either. I had them remove mine before I bought it.
I also have another sticker on my truck, It's one of my designs for my other obsession " Backwater Bowfishin' "

They already have fish-o-flauge, skulls, and antlers, why not turkey tracks? :smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an
I would love LOVE to have a small ( something like 2"x 2") replica of the Old Gobbler patch as a decal to put on the stock on my gun! That would look great I think!
Team NWTF is across the buttstock of my SBE II. It came that way from the factory.
I painted "Smoke 'em if you got 'em" on the scope mount on my old SBE. Having trouble uploading pics for some reason.

I used to be under a couple sponsorships. I was not REQUIRED to put either of the brands' decals on my guns. But I was under their sponsorships because I used and believed in their product. I flew their flags, so to speak............a barrel sticker and one on the stock.
I'm not under either sponsorship any longer. But I still use and wholeheartedly believe in their products and have no plan to remove the stickers.
Sam is a friend of mine, I use his calls almost exclusively and I get to say I'm a staff member.
I had the stocks on my camo waterfowl guns laser engraved with a picture of a banded canada goose sailing into a large magnet and the words "aluminum magnet". I thought about doing that on my turkey gun with a picture of a strutter walking towards a magnet and the words "spur magnet" but haven't done it to that gun yet.
I think company barrel stickers are ghey. Especially if they are not camo.
:bike2:
Don't have any stickers on my gun but if a guy wants them don't see problem life is short do what makes you happy and don't worry about everyone else. I have some turkey stickers on m truck no names just pics of birds
If I buy something that comes with a sticker/decal I feel is worthy, I put it on my beer fridge. Does that count?
