I recognize some of you guys names when I jump on here at breaks on 3rd shift...11pm to 7 a.m....any one else work 3rd shift??....it amazes me that there is always someone on here no matter when you check during the night!!
I'm a night owl too. I work 12 hr shifts, 6 to 6 both nights and dayshift.
I was on 12 hr shifts 11pm to 11 am....that don't leave ya much time...work...sleep..eat!!...now just working 8 hr shifts but working 7 days a week...gives me some Xtra money for hunting stuff...bought alot of new calls lately
Usually a 6am to about 4pm workday. 5 days a week. My phone goes off at all hours though.
7:30am-3:330pm 5 days a week I'm on call 5 times a year for 2 weeks at a time

6a-6p every Wed, Thur and Fri.

7am-5:30pm and I work a 4 day week. So I get an extra day to hunt every weekend. Been doing that for 18 years and I'm spoiled.
2pm to 2 am
730-430 at paper mill but I'm salary and not on shift. I have weekend duty every 6th weekend. I'm pretty much always on call being in the Environmental Dept.
All I know is I start at 8:30 AM every day M-F. Could be done at 6:30 PM...........7:30.........8:30 or later.
Since school has fired back up I'm 7:20-3:05 but I still work an evening job at a pool store so that eats many evenings until 8:00 pm. If not there I'm doing a job for my pool business. Never know when this will end. Winter hours are what's listed in the first sentence though and I'm off on weekends once the polls close up.
7 am - 4 pm M-F and 24/7 on call

Shifts run 7 to 7... I start 615pm and usually punch out around 8am.
I start at 6 or 7 am depending on the day and usually get off between 330 and 430 sometime
7:35 am-3:35 pm Mon-Fri for 164 days..7:35 am-5:00 pm Mon, Tues, Thurs for 30 days..7:35 am-8:00 pm +/- 1 hour for 6 random days.
2nd shift 1500-2300

0500-1300
0600-1400
0700-1500
0800-1600
1200-2000
1300-2100
1400-2200
1500-2300
1600-2400
1800-0200
2230-0630
2300-0700
The worst was going into a set of ten midnight shits. We would work 1500-2300 on Tuesday, into a 0600-1400 Wed morning. Go get several hours of sleep and be back out Wed night at 2300.

those are Union hours!!! I work in Washington DC and have a hour or so ride home

Currently 6a to 4p 5 days but in past lives in worked 6p to 430a eight days then six off and before that worked all three shifts every week sun 11-7 mon , tue, wed 7 -3 Fri 3-11 plus weekends. Hated that.
9p-5a and my days of rotate.
I just don't sleep. Since being in the Marines, I average about 4-5hrs of sleep per day.
Use to work 12 hr. swing shifts, but retired this past January!!! :happy0064:
Mine might be the most confusing. 2 seven day shift, followed by a 5, followed by a 4, it goes like this

2045-0645 Sunday night

Off Friday thru Wednesday and start the rotation over the next Wednesday.
I sometimes get sick of working the weekends but days off thru the week come in handy and it's especially nice to take a week of vacation in the 4th week and be off for 13 days and even better to take off the 2 day shifts, use 80 hours vacation, and be off for 20 days.
We use to work 3 weekends in a row (all 8 hour shifts) and about 15 years ago, I came up with this rotation to give us an extra weekend off, everyone liked it and we still use it today
I'm a firefighter. :firefighter: We work 24 hour shifts, followed by 48 hours off. Unless we get overtime or do a shift trade, then we work 48 hours and have 24 hours off. :-\
I'm a truck driver for a milk company. I start anywhere from midnight to 2 a.m. usually and work until the run is done. Legally I can't work more than 14 hours in a day and have to be off 10 hours between shifts.
630am to 230 on call every 5th weekend
Tug boating one week on and one week off. Work week is on call 24/7. If I play ck up extra time I get less then a week off. Most I've ever done was a 36 day hitch. Chief
