My fovorite hunts every year is with my Mom and Dad. My Dad doesn't get to go much but my Mom still gets after them pretty hard. We had a good hunt Saturday. We didn't go until about 11 because of the weather. I sat about 50 yards from her and we call a little bit back and forth. A tactic that has worked many times for us in he past. At 1:45 I thought I could hear drumming. Then about five minutes she shoots, and the drumming stopped.

That is what I am talking about! She is my new hero for today - what a great gal. Ain't no slack-jawed jack wagon gonna get over on a gal who can still get out in the turkey woods and put a thumping' on old Tom!
Very, very cool.

Thats my retired 835. She is currently using it. To much gun for me. She missed a bird earlier with her gun and and liked the pistol grip and adjustable stock on my old gun so she has laid claim to it now.
That's the best picture i've seem on this forum..great hunt...i know your proud of you mom and dad, still getting to hunt..just a great job..and a nice bird...

Yep, that's a pretty save bet. I think this is her 40th year in a row that she has killed at least one. Her best year was six. There's probably not a lot of men who can go the their Mother and ask for turkey hunting advice. I'm truly blessed to have the parents I have and to still have both of them! Nothing like sitting down at camp at 55 years old and eating fried turkey your Mom killed and cooked.
That is so cool. Absolutely priceless!
I've been wondering where you were Ronnie. Glad to see your Mom is still kicking turkey butts!! You're a good son!! :icon_thumright:
