Post by: West Augusta on April 30, 2015, 12:16:52 PM
2 gobblers in four days.
This one played the game and made me work for him but the West Augusta Titanium and Macassar ebony striker was too much for him. (http://i59.tinypic.com/2h5jjud.jpg)
20 Pounds 11 Ounces
1 1/16 and 1 1/8 spurs
and a 9" beard.

That is a huge WV tom!  I'm originally from WV, and used to hunt near Morgantown and Lost River.  Seldom did birds go over 20 pounds, at least in our experience.  Congratulations!

Congrats. This is why I wish you could buy extra tags in WV. I had a chance to end my season last Thursday but I have waited a whole year for this and didn't want it to be over in 4 days.

I'm headed to Ohio tomorrow.

I hear that. I keep trying to recruit friends to hunt them so I can stay in the woods.
