I live in Kansas City and we, like most of the nation, have had a very cool, wet spring. Not conducive to poult mortality rates. I haven''t seen any at all? Any of you?
I've seen 1 hen with 1 poult 2 days ago the crows were going crazy well actually they were black black birds I put the lead to a few of them black birds for harassing that hen and poult.
seen quite a few in pa
Haven't seen any.

Walked up on a hen in the tall grass and she pulled the injured bird routine, the grass was moving with poults. They were only 2-3 days hatched. This was last thursday. Hearing reports of large clutches being seen around home.
That's encouraging. Where was this?
Very few and far between here in northern va.
Not many here in NY yet....
I saw 3 hens and about a half dozen poults yesterday. They looked at least a week old. I am in Oswego county, NY.
I was up this weekend in NY madison/chenango and only saw solo hens. everything is wet, wet, wet.
I saw a group of 5 2 weeks ago, a group of 4 last week, and 1 with its Mom today.

X2 down in the southern part of cali.
They are all over the place down here in Central Florida.
I am in southern WV, I have seen one hen with 13 polts. This is the only hen that I have seen with polts, but she was crossing the road with them. So much rain the farmers are very laste cutting there hay. I have seen several hens in the fields but grass was to high to say if they had polts with them or not.

Only a single poult with this hen. We've got several hens without poults. We need a good year for a change.

Just saw a hen and five poults. Couldnt get a picture because was driving. East tn here
I haven't been back to the woods but once since turkey season. Didn't see any then but they may have still been sitting nests. I need to remedy that and get out on my next day off.
I am seeing many hens without any poults in SC. I know there is still time, but the weather has not been good.
My brother in law ran over a hen in a hay field the other day. He also said that he ran over afew nest in that field also. This flock is the same one that I took the boss tom from this past Spring. Im hoping he did not got all of the nest from this flock. I will be hunting them next spring again. BUT I have not seen any poults yet.
Saw a bunch cutting hay. They were big enough they could get airborn out of the field.
Saw a hen yesterday that had 8 poults watched them for about 20 min they were pretty small. Most I've seen with a hen this year.
Seen lots here in East TN! More than average.
Haven't seen a single poult in my area yet, only broodless hens I'm afraid the heavy rains we received this spring took their toll. :(
I saw 3 hens with a total of 6 poults in Rappahannock Co., Virginia. Two of the poults were from an earlier hatch than the other 4.
I have seen one hen with 6 poults about the size of quail. That was towards the beginning of June. Getting lots of reports of hens with poults that same size now. Seems to be a late hatch here in West TN.

the poults I seen a couple days were the size of quail also. Also saw a very nice longbeard he had the biggest beard I've ever saw atleast a good 11 inch couldn't tell the size of spurs though.
We have been hit by major rain all summer here in the lowcountry of South Carolina. I was driving around a large WMA today and saw two hens and unfortunately neither had poults. I'm afraid '13 will be a poor hatch here in SC.
I saw two hen with 5 little ones between them. Babies were a little bigger than quail. Been a very wet last couple of weeks here in Franklin County, VA.
