In Georgia you get three tags. It's also legal to kill all three in the same day or even the same shot.
Your out opening morning and the birds are hammering. Three long beards race to your calling, each trying to get there first. Their at 30 yards now looking for the hen. All three heads are ligned up. Now since your turkey hunting as some of you replied in the other would you thread, would you pull the trigger and kill all three?
On a non resident hunt lasting only a weekend, absolutly. At home in Tn where the season is 6 weeks long, not a chance. It isn't legal here but if it were, there is no way I would end, or cut my time in the woods that short. Can you imagine only getting to hunt a couple times during spring turkey season. That would be a disaster of epic proportion. (spelling?).
Yes. Hunt with friends and family every other day.
yes sir i have a bunch of other folks i call for all season long :z-guntootsmiley:
yes, what are the chances it would happen again.
I would pull the trigger as fast as I could!!! Might never have that opportunity again. I would then do everything I could to do some out of state hunting with my time. :fud:
NO!!!

ditto
I would roll em all. Im usually calling for family and other folks so when I get my chance I'll take it.
Yes I would . I would be there on a 3 day hunt down from my home state so I would shoot them then spend the next two days enjoying your beautiful state,
yes, then hunt with friends. after I could say I've done that I probably wouldn't do it agan.
Since I have never done it. YES.
After the first time prolly not.
I would Not, even if I lived in Georgia. Shoot one and leave the others to hunt another day. I like to chase em to much to burn 3 tags with one shot.
No not anymore. Back in the day I have done it a couple times with pairs. Now days I would kill one of them and then go back the next day to kill another ;D. Now on short out of state trips I'm likely to kill a pair when I get the chance. By the way carrying 2 turkeys out of the woods for a mile or more is no joke I couldn't imagine toting 3.
Nope I need more hunting time.
TRKYHTR
ABSOLUTLY :z-guntootsmiley:

:icon_thumright:
absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!! :z-guntootsmiley:
yep then I'd hunt florida and sc :z-guntootsmiley:
but I dont think shooting more than 1 per day should be allowed-alot of offhand running shots at second birds probably dont end up well.
I would probably be so rattled, I would shoot over all 3.
So I guess it's a moot point! :toothy12:
sure would! without even thinking twice!! :you_rock: if I had done it before then I would think about it twice and it would all boil down to how much time I had to hunt. If I just had a few days to hunt the state then I probably would again but if I lived there and hunted there year round then probably not.
I wouldn't. I would wait until they seperated a little and try to kill the one with the biggest beard. I would want to save my other two tags for later. I would hate to end it all on the first day.
I'm a little surprised at how many have said yes. Nothing wrong with it, I'm just surprised.
Did just that several years ago in Texas. Killed 3 at one time. With my Eastern from an earlier hunt, had my 4 bird limit.

Would you do it again?
Add another surprise. I'm an out of stater, odds are on a 2-3 day hunt, and more than likely on the only trip I'll be makin' to Georgia. I'm gonna dump em all if I can, no question. Here in Florida we are allowed 1 a day and a total of 2. I have limited out on several occasions on opening weekend while huntin' public land and enjoyed the next 5 weekends callin' for friends and family. :you_rock:
I don't think I would. I'd like to have the chance to have more days of hunting. The more hunts I get in during a season, the better. If it was the last couple of days of the season, that might be a different story.
na...really dont want to end my season with one outing....

I live here and yes I would. There are plenty of other people and kids to take hunting if I tag out.
I don't think so, but really haven't had that opportunity to address it. If I get the chance to drop 2 in Kansas, and being on a team, I'd lean yes. This opens up the opportunity to get to Nebraska, and hunt with my grandson. Being on a team really makes you a lot more aggressive.
BOOM! As long as they wasn't jakes..........
YES!!! I have a lot of people to call for and short on time to hunt for myself rock their world!!
I would not only shoot all three, hopefully with one shot, I would write a book about it when I was done... :fud: :newmascot: Mike

Yes,,if 3 toms of that quality came in again together, Iwould
In Washington, you can kill two birds in a day. Two years ago on opening day, my dad and I killed 4 longbeards, but they were basically 4 seperate hunts. We killed our first 2 sitting at the same tree, but a half hour apart. The other 2 we killed were at different locations. Even though that ended our Washington season, that was the most incredible day I've ever had and I'd do that again without a doubt, especially since it was on public ground. Plus, we hunt Idaho as well, so we knew our season wasn't completely over. And I love to call for friends and family members as well.
Last spring in Idaho on opening weekend, I had a group of 3 longbeards come in to me gobbling like crazy. If I would've been allowed to kill all 3, I would've done it. I killed the strutter and could've killed the other two if it were legal. You can only kill one bird a day there, and two total during the spring season. I would've been happy to spend the rest of my time over there calling for my dad and my two buddies.
Yes. And then go find three more to shoot.
This is a test
If I was on an out of state hunt, Yep, sure would. I'd most likely be hunting with someone else, so I'd still get to enjoy the rest of the hunt.
I was faced with this situation on a 3 day hunt in TX once. You can kill all 4 tags in one day there and I called in 4 toms on the 1st morn. I shot one, pulled around and smoked another, then the other two went to each bird back and forth for 15min. I had one shell left and lined them both up multiple times, but didn't fire. Never had another opportunity that trip. In hindsite, I would have piled them all up and tagged along with another hunter the next two days. I get more excited watching someone else drop a tom than myself anyway.
Not on my property. It's kinda like this , You know how you feel when you limit out , you get that i'm done feeling. I love to hunt so I think I'd wait and try to take one . Make my season last a little longer.
I could legally shoot two out of three in one shot depending on what county on Oklahoma I happen to be hunting in. Our statewide bag limit is three toms, but there are no counties that allow more than two toms to be harvested. I gotta drive a little ways to get my third one.
NOooooooo!........Too much work. That at least 60lbs of turkey to lug outta the woods. ;D
Yes i would. When on an out of state hunting trip i'm there for one reason,to hunt not sightsee.I save those trips to take the wife.
I'd rather have the sep hunts.
I'd kill two of 'em.
Yeah I'd shoot em but only if I had a video camera so people would believe that I got them all with one shot.
Let'em breed another day.
Nope sure wouldn't
Doug
There would be three dead turkeys if i was there.Since i dont live there.
I would never intentionally shoot more than a single bird at a time in most cases. I'm not a "body count" sort of guy. However, as others have suggested, if I was on a short, out-of-state hunt, and if I could not get the birds to separate far enough to kill just one of them, and if I thought I would likely not get another chance to kill a bird, and if they were about to leave, and if it was legal,....and even then I would wait until the last possible second for them to separate before settling on having to shoot more than one.
