I'm looking for a new turkey gun. My demands are that it is camo, 12 guage, can shoot 3.5", and have a pistol grip stock.
Here is what I'm looking at right now.
Remington 870 Supermag Express with Sureshot stock. $490 (http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/51952-55.html)
Mossberg 835 Ultimag $457 (http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/18954-55.html)
Benelli SuperNova with SteadyGrip stock. $589 (http://www.impactguns.com/benelli-super-nova-pump-steady-grip-12g-24in-apg-hd-20136.aspx)
What say you experts?
Go with the cheapest. ;)

Lets not let a few dollars get in the way of the best out of the three.
870 870 870 870 870
Either the mossy or remy.
Or u could get both and give me a deal on the one you don't like.
Do you own a turkey gun already? If so, I'd buy the one that I already had a few chokes for.
Go with the one that fits you the best. They are all good choices.
835= the best patterns
870 = great patterns and a little easier on the shoulder
I would buy the Benelli.
I am an 870 guy. Never shot a mossberg. I almost bought a Nova last year and after shooting it on a 2 day duck hunt, I wouldn't have one. It was the rattlingest, jammingest pump I ever shot. Some guys love them. I did not.
870 ! Day in day out the 870 will come through for you. :fud:
This is what I am doing, for whatever the hell that is worth.
I bought a camo Knoxx recoil reducing stock for $110, and a used 870 Supermag for $250. Putting the two together = a $360 turkey sniping machine.

Where did you find it for $110? Cheapest I can find is on cabelas for $130.
It was on sale at Cabelas Sunday. Cheaper than dirt has black for $90

Sounds like you made a very good decision. Best of luck with your setup! :icon_thumright:
Good choice!

I'll throw in a vote for the Benelli. Have not had any of the rattling or jamming problems mentioned earlier in the post. I've had mine for 4 years. Tough as nails, reliable day in day out, and along with an IC choke and hevi shot it throws a gobbler blistering pattern. Outfit it with a set of truglo gobble dot sights or a red dot of your choice, and you have a turkey killer in your hands.

Benelli Nova just don't short shuck it and it will not jam.
I'd recommend the Mossberg except for your requirement for a PG stock. The placement of the safety and slide release on Mossbergs is not really compatible with PG stocks, Mossberg's many models with one notwithstanding.
Try one before you buy.
Thanks everyone for the comments.
I ended up going with the Benelli. It fit me and my needs best.
Sounds good! I just traded two old 2 3/4" guns in for a used 835. So far I love it.
