Had some good luck in VA with the bow this season. Anyone else out there for whitetail this fall/winter?
Absolutely beautiful buck.
Those brow tines are wild...
Majestic whitetail.
Congratulations..

Yes sir, I've killed a pile of deer with a compound and got bit by the traditional bug in 2023. Was able to take my first 2 trad deer this season. These two does mean more to me than any buck or any other deer I've taken for that matter. They were hard earned public deer, I put in 30+ days to take the first one and another 15 or so to take the second. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20250118/b4195df498e13dd4252718f7666be60a.jpg)

Tclipse that is a great looking buck with some good brow tines. One can only imagine what he could have been in another 2 or 3 years!
I have always said any deer taken with a bow is a trophy and with that said, congratulations to all who had the opportunity to harvest a deer (buck or doe) with a bow.
Great deer guys!

All nice bucks.Congrats to all.
I didn't have anything that tickled my fancy this year. However, watching my son shoot his deer was pretty awesome. It was a good first deer. Can't figure out how to post pics.
Bunch of great pics !!! :icon_thumright:
I tagged this one way back in early October.....

Some Awesome deer!
Nice deer guys!!! I never got a shot at a decent buck...the closest I had was 45yds. The 1st 2 weeks of November, I passed up the same 6-7, 1 1/2 yr. olds every time I hunted. I was able to put 2 does in the freezer.

Real nice deer, congrats to all! I was lucky enough to get this Old mountain guy with my Muzzleloader opening day. Got a glimpse of him during bow, but he was too far for a shot. It's not often you get a second chance on these guys...(https://i.ibb.co/qj9ZvD6/EDFEAFD3-BEFA-4-C52-BB7-F-796-DCCAEC130.jpg)
Nice deer everyone, great to see.

I have a 45# royal huntsman by him that I gave to my dad. They're nice bows.

This year is the least amount I've hunted for deer since I shot my first one when I was 9... maybe went 5 times. I did however go duck and goose hunting a lot! Man have I missed that... that being said. My late grandfather left behind a model 94 30-30. I took it out 1 morning and blessed it on a still hunt. Bout brought a tear to my eye using it. I killed my best buck so far 2 days into the season but having my 8 year old get his first buck was way more exciting than seeing my arrow hit the spot on this buck.

Nothing I like more besides cherishing a gobbler on the ground is grabbing a set of antlers on a mature buck, but I will always miss hunting with my boys. I enjoyed the youth hunts more than my own and watching each of them kill some really nice bucks are great memories. The years go fast my friend.
my best for the 2024 season.
My 2024 buck, personal best.
Nice bucks SSWV and bcuda. Nice Rem Model 7 also.
thanks for the compliments Badger. I've had that SEVEN for a LONG time. It is .308 caliber. Prior to it I used a Remington model 788 carbine also .308 it lives in the back of my gun safe now.
