General Forum / Re: Tethrd M2 vestLast post by Dazzler - Today at 10:30:03 PMQuote from: tbowers on Today at 02:13:42 PMI can answer part of my question above, I talked with Tethrd and they no longer have the elastic straps on the seat due to 'reasons of patenting'. I'm guessing some other vest co(Likley the cabelas speed seat?). had a patent on the elastic straps. They are going to send me some elastic straps to swap out however, so hopefully that fixes my issues. They've sent out enough cease and desist letters and have a patent guy. You'd think they'd know before getting to production. #4

Turkey Calls / Re: Beginners callsLast post by Yoder409 - Today at 09:52:07 PMQuote from: JeffC on Today at 08:07:20 AMLynch box, bought in the 80s, think it had a battleship on 1 side of box? Lost in woods, wish I still had. Bought another and never had same response from birds as original. The original Primos Battleship was no joke. That call will bring gobblers in open country from farther away than you can hear them gobble back. Watched it happen twice in two days on west Texas Rios. #8
LEARNING TO TURKEY HUNT / Re: When Do You Shoot?Last post by Yoder409 - Today at 09:47:06 PMI carry a rangefinder to quickly mark trees at a setup. As long as I've been at this...... I still wanna take NO chances.
My gun shoots very well. And up close & personal is no big problem with the red dot. But a guy never knows (and sometimes he DOES know) when a bird may be heading to the taxidermist. He prefers to have as much to work with as possible. I prefer 25-30 yards. My taxidermist prefers 35-40 yards. But NEVER will I take a shot that I do not consider a 110% sure thing. #9
