Dr. Williams,

I have seen on two separate occasions where an especially old gobbler appears to have established a "working relationship" with a younger (jake -2yo) gobbler and will travel together all through the day. It seems that the older gobbler has realized that his defensive senses of hearing and eyesight have begun to fail and is beginning to leave him much more vulnerable to predation. His relationship with the younger bird is to benefit from his keener senses and to rely on being alerted when danger is near.

Is this a common behavior in older gobblers? Thank you.

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

Lovett

FullChoke,

That's a common behavior.
