cheese grits

i rarely share my recipe because i want all the glory...lol...but i figured i'd share.

you'll need quick grits and cheese, LOTS of cheese.

-make 4 servings of quick grits...if i recall correctly it's a 1.25 cups of grits
-6 to 8 cups of sharp cheddar

when the grits are thickening add all but 2 cups of cheese, add salt (sea salt works best) and pepper and mix until the cheese is melted and the grits are orange.

pour grits into baking pan and then add the leftover cheese, layered on top....bake until golden brown...or if you're in a hurry you can broil until browned.

i don't toot my own horn very often but my cheese grits are to die for...everyone should try them at least once....just ask rutnnstrutn.  :happy0064:
