I watched this tom breed a hen for over 5 minutes the other day along side the road. He never once changed head color, but they were the only tom and hen present.
Pretty cool experience. Some of the earliest I'm experienced any breeding is Wisconsin.

i've been seeing a few lone toms out in fields during the minimal scouting i'm able to do

sunday afternoon my nephew saw birds while driving home from grant county. i backed up and it was a flock of 30+ hens with only one or 2 toms
