Don't play the numbers game, hunt with that and you'll be very happy

I was getting around 260 with every choke I tried. Even borrowed a IC 555 and had similar results. Made one adjustment, bought an IC 555 (only because it had an overall better looking pattern in the 20") and just last night ended up with 340 in the 10" circle. If you're chasing numbers, there's some things to do. If you're looking for a hunting pattern, you're fine where you are.

Gave the barrel a very good cleaning. It was suggested to use Kroil which I didn't have time to grab. Therefore, I used Butch's Bore Shine which is ammonia based so I had to make sure the barrel was oiled. Prior to shooting, I swabbed it thoroughly and removed ALL oil. Talk about a jump in performance.

Lol I am happy and I have already taken a bird with it. Im just a hopeless tinkerer and want to get it even better. No hurry this is something ill work at when our season is over and I move toward learning to roll my own loads.

Love mine. I had it cerakoted and drilled/tapped for a Vortex Venom. Beats lugging the 12 gauge around.
