Anyone hearing much? A ways away? Starting to pick up?? Opener a week away I believe.

Heard two this weekend in Coosa county. Seem to still be grouped up where I hunt.
Always wondering wether or not to give a cluck

I took my son yesterday and today for youth weekend. Yesterday he started gobbling @5:55 and flew down and died within seconds of hitting ground. That's the only gobbler I've heard this year. Ive saw strut sign in a few other places and we didn't hear nothing this morning in those areas.

I've been twice and had them gobble well in the tree, but once they hit the ground it's complete silence. It is too hot for this time of year and everything is a lot greener than normal which makes it harder to hear them.

Seems like the birds have shut down where I am. Anyone still hearing anything

In East Alabama (Chambers County) They are gobbling a little bit in the mornings, but dont seem to have any interest in hens.  They arent responding to calls and it seems as if the breeding is all but over at this point.

I hunted Chambers this morning and didn't hear anything, but I've not heard one in Bama since 2014.  And he only gobbled once.
If I'm not back in five minutes, wait longer!

I've heard two birds in Shelby county. Neither in hunting distance. There is so much pressure, I'm all but certain the birds have stopped gobbling.

I've heard gobbing every morning this week.  They dont seem to want to come to a call, but they are still gobbling a little in mornings.
