If I could only take one call (or one type of call) it would be a mouth call/diaphragm call:
Versatile
Realistic
Compact
Hands free


I enjoy playing the friction call more though.  Last season I called in a bird from start to finish with a scratcher...   So while they would be my go-to call if I could only have one call, I find myself using them less and less.

Did I do that?

Fly fishermen are born honest, but they get over it.
