Packable rain gear

Cabelas space rain suite also gets my vote, packs into its own small pouches.  Keeps me dry on raining days in Illinois and did great last year for me out in Kansas in the rain.  Fits great and is very quiet.

I have used Frog Toggs in the past...  I consider it "disposable rain gear."

You can usually find it cheap enough, and if the zippers work and it is not torn, it will keep you reasonably dry, but it does NOT hold up at all...

Increasingly my opinion on rain gear is that the cheaper stuff will keep you dryer than nothing, moderate priced stuff will keep you somewhat dry, and the good/expensive stuff will keep you comfortably dry during a good precipitation event...

As a duck hunter, I am using quality gear...  If I were only turkey hunting, I would be apprehensive about such a purchase.

I plan on buying that cabelas set to keep in the truck in case it starts raining while I'm out. I got an umbrella that attaches to a tree as well.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I have a friend with a job at cabelas so I believe I will see if I can't borrow his discount and get that? Will definitely check it out

A lightweight, camo poncho is my preference.  I can throw it on over my vest and keep my shotgun covered.  Everything stays dry instead of just my body.
