I think it was just a far right organization taking a rumor and running with it.

I am always shocked to find that one of the largest profit makers in pornography in the US is Marriott.  You really have to be careful who you choose to support with your money.

I guess you don't watch TV because they have nudity and Porn on there. Don't use the internet because it is on there too! I guess freedom in this country anymore is based off of "it's ok if I agree with it and wrong if I don't like it". I think we fought a few wars to establish our freedom and not have some high and mighty enforce their standards on us, how soon they forget. If you don't like it turn the channel or don't order the movie. Hell I'm sure PETA will boycott your company because you hunt. Be careful what you wish for you may just get it!

First it was Home Depot and gay rights, now its Sears and porn. What's next Mickey Mouse smoking a blunt?  :TooFunny: :TooFunny:

One of my church deacons took his family to Disney when the kids were younger.  They hit the place on gay pride day and the "code" for that was a red shirt.
My deacon friend happened to be wearing a red shirt on that day.  Needless to say he was most unhappy with Disney because he had clue till they showed up at the park that morning. :TooFunny:
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

Actually, I choose not to watch those programs that include nudity and porn.  I use the internet, but choose to have a filter and accountability software that would alert my wife and a good friend if I were to access questionable sites.  I do this because I value my wife, my marriage of nearly 24 years, my children and my relationship with a personal God who finds such material detestable.
I lost an uncle in Korea before I  had a chance to meet him.  He died at 19 years old defending a country he would no longer recognize in such a state of moral decay.
If you actually read the initial post and the attached links, nowhere did they try to force any line of thought on anyone or impose any standard on anyone.  The point was simply to inform people of a company's actions...  actions that many find objectionable.  Some here receive email alerts from the American Family Association, others are unaware of this group and may not have heard about this issues, as we know the liberal media would not report on it.
You come across a bit hostile in your warnings to "be careful what you wish for".  My wish is for a country and a people to wake up to what they are losing by sticking their heads in the sand and allowing society to decay around them.  If that offends you, take your own advice and don't read my posts... as you will likely be offended again.
I wish you a blessed day.

lightsoutcalls.........I for one am fine with your posts that link to warnings from the American Family Association.

The problem comes when people try to force their beliefs on others. It starts down a dangerous path.  Boycotts and other silliness seems innocent enough until it gets out of control. Look at the antihunting movement.  They think they are doing good and they out number us. Without the freedoms we enjoy certain things we enjoy that others don't be it hunting or a religion can be abolished. It is this type of freedom that many of us have fought and many died to protect. How hard would it be to make a case against a religion where numerous kids have been molested? Not everything is black and white. Unfortunately there are a lot of shades of gray in the real world. Religion and faith is a good thing. Extremism in any form becomes destructive.

I didn't see where lightsoutcalls or anyone else tried to force their ideas on anyone.  What I saw was a concerned citizen informing others of things that are questionable.  If you saw something going on that could be a potential problem for a friend wouldn't you tell them?  That's all lightsoutcalls was doing.

I see nothing wrong with boycotting companies that support causes that I don't agree with, I am free to spend my hard earned money how I please.  You have the same freedom, it shouldn't bother you how I choose to spend my $.

Your also free to not look at what was posted.  He never "forced" any belief on anyone.  I'll go ahead and make your day even more........right and wrong is black and white.  You can choose to wash it down however you like and turn it into shades of gray, but that doesn't change it.
