Filled 1 of 2 tags hunting the last three days of the season in NY. Dominant birds are still locked up with hens. What was left for subordinates had no interest in gobbling or coming to a call. Got tight to the roost and intercepted this one at 20yds with his 5 hens and jake in the woods on their way to the field. I didn't make a single call or use decoys.

June 1, 5:10PM, Maine. After a successful roost hunt with my buddy, it didn't look promising for me as we continued to hunt for my bird. Finally found one in the final hours and was able to work it out with an exceptional hunt to end the season. Sad to have to call it a year!

Congrats to all on a great season, and especially those that took it down to the wire to see it go out!
