Well I'm in central MS and I dont think I heard but one gobble until April but it was cold and windy the first couple of times I went. Picked up and I got decent action   Mid April. Ended up killing a couple. Last year seemed better? But I got small kids so I don't get to go as much as I would like. Most of the time I skip out of work to get to go.

Good luck in MO. I been thinking about a FL trip or trip to TX for Rios

Nothing like seeing a kids eyes light up upon hearing that first gobble.

Congrats! Nice bird. That one spur could do some definite damage!

Nice bird, congrats! Personally, I don't think those hooks are so bad, myself.

yea, the are not bad at all, just had some bigger.  i actually broke the second one off when dropped the bird from my bike on the gravel road.  this is probably my best scoring bird ever.  although i had one last year that was pretty close.

tomstopper
