Looks great so far, awesome patterns as well.  I have an 20+ year old 870 I plan on doing the same with.

Did you stay with a youth size synthetic stock or go with the full size?

Youth size stock.
Little advice on remodeling an older 870. Make sure its silicone sand blasted and acetone washed very well, and multiple times. I have a 12 ga 870 turkey model made in 2001 that i bought from a gun show in 2006, (gun in my profile pic.) Carried it for several years, and had some rust and wear to show for it. Cerakoted it and after the next season I was getting rust from under the cerakote. My gun guy has never seen that happen.
We assume that hand oil and gun oil had just gotten so deep into the pores of the gun, and thats what caused it. Still functions but looks pretty gnarly.
