Belgium A5 Full Choke
« on: April 03, 2019, 01:34:46 AM »
Hello all, I'm new to the page. I recently picked up a 1948 A5 full choke and was looking at what kind of patterns to expect. I shot the gun at 30 yards with the winchester super x 5 shot, and although a dead turkey, I wasn't thoroughly impressed. I FINALLY found a box of Long Bears XR in 2 3/4" and I'll give those a go this weekend. Anyone have any pics of the 2 3/4" A5 patterns? Thanks!

I’m an auto 5 freak and I’m willing to bet longBEARD XR will be perfect for your gun!!

I have a 1962 sweet 16 and a 1967 Mag 20, both of which I have miroku barrels for.

I might fire a few Longbeards outta my 20 in my Belgian full just to see // I load my own TSS thus the Miroku barrels.

Thanks for the reply! I'll post pics when I try it out. The pics below are the Super X 28.5 yards.

I do t have any pics, but I shoot the federal premium 2 3/4 #6 with the flight control wad. Mine has a 30” full choke. Shoots real good out to 30 yards. Have not pattern past that.
