Miami

Im on the west coast in Ft Myers, but hunt glades county.  Fingers crossed still dry.

This is what can happen to you when the water is up in Florida.

joeturkey

This is what you can expect in a normal spring season in Florida.

Water may affect how we move through The Cypress, but it does not affect "those" turkeys one bit.

S/W Florida has had a wetter than normal winter but this coming week is predicted dry.  It will take at least two weeks of no/little rain to get some areas passable I'm guessing.  The birds have been vocal since late January.  My buddy and I run at least 3 cameras.  We keep up on things in the areas we hunt.  I have a lot of trouble on this forum with picture size but I'll try a few.  This camera doesn't do dates/times but we know it is approximately Jan 23.

This is a picture of a road in a wma in South Florida this morning normally you could drive a 4x4 truck down this road but NOT today it rained all day yesterday.

Looks much the same in North Florida.

Keep them pictures and reports coming, because I am headed south to Florida again this spring. Just hope it starts warming up a little in MN so I don't die of heat stroke when I get down there. But if I am going to die better, at least it is when I am turkey hunting.

that is the truth.

Will do.  There is little doubt that a few yelps would bring in a few big boys today.  Season in the zone we are hunting doesn't open until 3/16.  South zone 3/2 so it should be in full killin' mode on opening day.  Good luck.

I second that...keep the reports-pictures coming heading down March 19th...can't come soon enough...
