My 8 Year old's First Turkey!!

THis is his second year trying to get a turkey, we actually passed on a jake last year.   We went out on monday for opening day and set up on 6 birds gobbling, only to have 3 jakes come in behind us...I tried to turn the gun around but he couldnt line up the shot shooting lefty.   So we tried it again this morning and had a hard time finding one bird.  After a long walk we finally located a couple birds and set up on them.  They came straight in to us, he had a 20 yard shot and put his first bird on the ground!!!   Needless to say he was pumped and so was I!!

  There seems to be an exceptional number of Jakes this year.............I've seen no less than 15 so far this week. Good hatch last spring I presume.
