Story and stats on the first bird:
After a 2 year drought, the good Lord blessed me again opening morning.
Was walking to where I thought they'd be that morning and decided to hoot where I was to make sure not to spook any off the roost on the way. Sucker gobbled right above me so I sat down. Directly, they started gobbling and hens started yelping and then I heard one fly down right behind me. Hens flew down about 60 yds out but I couldn't see them real good to see what they were so I move a little and heard something scattter right behind me...I thought the gig was up. I turned real slow and the big tom was whoopin youngins 15 steps directly behind me. They slowly made their way around me ad I had no shot and at one time I had a hen on a log 5 steps from me. I just closed my eyes and stayed still. They fed away with no shot and I tried to get in front of them but they changed direction so I skirted them and made my way around and eventually got in front of them and was back in business. The toms would gobble and give away thier position and I would belly crawl a hair and then stop. Eventually I saw the hens and they were headed my way with 2 big boys in tow. They walked the toms within 35yds and something caught thier attention and this dude stuck his head up and I knew it was now or never...

Story and stats on the 2nd are not so impressive but meat in the freezer nontheless:
I went hunting with a buddy on his lease that is mostly pine thickets and the birds stay in the roads almost exclusively cause that's the only openarea they have to strut in. We came up on this dude strutting in the road and he saw us and took off but not before I was able to get a shot off.
