Great job! Persistence pay off. I shot my first one in my 2nd season too. I bumped one at 20yds, and the vision of a longbeard jumping in the air and flying behind some low trees haunted me for a year.

From the rubbed off tips of his 2nd & 3rd primary wing feathers, you can tell he had been strutting somewhere.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
