First off guys I know my camera work  and spelling sucks lol . All loads were  3" 1 3/4oz
I tried the factory XX choke with Long Beard  5s and 6s then went to the Carlson  and looks like the
Long beard #6 was the best. Thats the middle pic I forgot to write the shot size on the paper .
I also tested some Federal Grand Slam # 5s  and Mag-Shok #6 with both chokes.
While I feel every one of them could kill the Long beard #6s did the best .
I was aiming at the center of the circle on these shots not the waddle and I may still be a touch high but if I aim at the waddle it'll make a mess of turks head Im thinking. .
148 pellets in a 7" circle at 30 yards im happy.
I didnt try 40 but Im not worried. lol.

Second pic looks like a dead Turkey to me, pattern looks pretty even as well. Go hunting!!!  :OGturkeyhead:

2nd pic is your best pattern for sure. I have a 500 as well, and I could never find a shell that patterned well out of the XX factory choke. Right now my best is the 3" longbeards in either #6 or #5 with the Carlson longbeard choke. Very tight at 20 yds or closer, but fantastic patterns at 40.

Sturm, It looks like your on the right track.  The second Pic (003) looks pretty good with the Carlson and LB 6's.

Never connected last season but Ive already taken 2 birds so far this year. One was about 25 yards and the other 15 so I cant say  how it does at any distances but I can say those birds didn't like it much. :turkey2:
