Looking at a used 20ga. I know nothing about Benelli. How do they compare to 870? What is a used one worth? Thanks

When I turkey hunt I use a DSD decoy

Benelli owns the auto market in my eyes, but personally I dnt like their pumps at all. I think the pump market belongs to the 870

I had a nova, To be honest ....I think benelli made and sold that gun at a price point to ruin its pump selling competition, its a value and illl leave it at that ----but that's another story

Love the barrel , couldn't stand the clunky action ....the one pin trigger assembly makes it hard to scope the gun with a saddle mount..and the action is long stroked and clumsy....but it's a well made pump

I've been using a Nova 20 gauge for several years. Killed several turkey, squirrel, rabbit, and pheasant. Like OG said it is clunky. But I've really enjoyed the gun. Seems really accurate and I can do pretty well shooting skeet with it.
That being said, I just went to a 12 gauge for this season because I wanted a little more reach. I've missed several birds because I was a little out of range but thought my 20g nova could reach. Max I'll shoot at a turkey with it is only about 30 yards, maybe a little farther depending.
So I don't recommend it for turkey for that reason.
Good luck!

If it were my $, I would get the 870 and not look back. There are tons of aftermarket accessories and chokes are a little more readily available. The 870 is the pump gun to own just as Sasquatch 1 said. Plus, you can add a pistol grip style stock if ya want.
