New Turkey Gun

I got this Winchester 1300 20ga the other day. My hunting buddy for 35 years passed away Oct. last year. He was 75 years young. He help set up the Ga. Hunter Safety Course and taught it for 40 years. His widow called me the other day and said she had something of his for me. He had a list of his guns and wanted me to have the 1300. I am going to hunt with it some this year.

I prefer my .243 when I go out for woodchucks but every year I take out my Savage 340 .222 I got when my uncle died and get my first few woodchucks with it. It's kinda like he is still there with me and your friend will be with you as well whenever you take this out.

My hunting buddy only hunted with this 1300 after having shoulder replacement 8 years ago. Never killed a turkey with it. He said it was his jinx gun. He has killed a lot of turkeys with his 12ga. I am going to break the jinx and put pictures on here

Remember him PROUDLY every time you put your hands on that 1300.  I pray you will take the JINK out of this gun and kill many birds with it.  He will be with you ALWAYS when you have it in your hands.

I hope the good Lord blesses you for many seasons toting this special shotgun. That's a fine gesture from your friends wife bestowing the gun to you.
