Round...........flat............flared............even an angle tip Darrin gave me years ago.  Don't care what it looks like.  Just what it sounds like.

Yup,...this.  I have just about every type of striker and call-surface combination.  Almost always, one (or more) strikers will sound better to me with a specific call/surface than others,...and the combination of the two is rarely the same.  It ain't the striker material/shape or the call surface material,...it is the combination of the two that makes the difference.
