I called him today and was going to order the Sapele.  He had just sold last one, so I am getting a prototype from him.  Its aluminum over aluminum in Blue mahoe/yellowheart pot.  He is one heck of a nice guy, really enjoyed talking to him.

Sounds like a keeper! I was wandering if anyone would and why they haven't already made an aluminum/aluminum in a mahoe pot.

Well the mailman dropped off an Atomic 13 today.  I was already in the woods so I didn't get to hunt it today. I have to say this is the best sounding pot call I've ever owned. It runs so easy with a nasty bite to it.

I doubt that it will be the last call I get from Mr. Shaffer. 

Special thanks to one of the OG members who actually went and picked this call right out of the brood.  It's gonna put a hurting on some gobblers.

His Atomic 13 is a nice call. I recently picked up an oak aluminum/glass pot from Jimmy and bought the yellowheart/mahoe in the classifieds. Cant wait to handle and run the yellowheart when it shows up. The oak pot is a screamer but on the higher pitch side. It has a super cluck and pur to it.

I haven't owned a lot of custom calls but this thing talks with no effort. I can't wait to see how the gobblers react. It just has that sound to it. It's what I'm always trying to make with my mouth calls. 

This won't be my last call from him.

I only have one of his calls but plan to order another. I won a laminated slate call and it's my go to slate call the last two years.
