Mossberg 835 24" ported barrel. Good option for those who don't like to shoot 3.5" shells, 280 in 10" at 40 yards.

I've got one shell left of those
I'm going to shoot it through my Star Dot this evening.
I patterned the 1&3/4 loads the last two evenings.
Highest number was 260 lowest was 198
Some shells rattle and they aren't as tight at 40
The normal shells do much better.

I shot three different times with these shells the lowest I had was 263. This was the best of the three patterns, but the average is in the 270's. I would think you would get about the same numbers I did when you shoot this evening. Also I've noticed I get a little bit higher numbers, anywhere from 10-20 more pellets, if I don't clean my barrel but every other time I shoot. Any more than two shots between cleaning I saw pretty good size drop off.

My Carlson Longbeard liked those Magnums really well

Nice pattern! I have the same setup and I'm going to try the 6's but in 3.5" shells as soon as this rain quits.

The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.
