Is there a difference in the color of the Osceola in the spring time and winter time? I have a friend that lives down in Florida that wants me to come down and do some hunting, but due to timing we are planning a hunt in January of 2018.

According to Tom Kelly in 10th legion, there is an iridescence that exist when they are ready to mate that is not present otherwise

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Florida's turkey season doesn't open until the first weekend in March in the southern region every year, about a week later in the central region and a week later in the northern region.  Check the Florida Regs for actual dates.

There is a fall season in January depending on what zone he is in.

Wow, didn't know their fall season was that late.  Good to know.

Yea and depending on the weather they will gobble all the way to the gun barrel.

That fall turkey has good colors. I would rather do a Spring hunt but with the military, wife, and kids spring time seems but be filled up.

I took the other picture just because of the iridescent I was seeing. It's part of all gobbler plumage.
