What are you guys using to condition the hanks zebrawood glass/aluminum pot?

I did the initial break in with a stone and noticed no change in sound/tone quality.  I have two of them, and only conditioned one with the stone.  Then played them side by side.  They sounded nearly identical.  Just enough conditioning til it had that even color and texture.  After that I will only be conditioning it with a scotchbrite pad.  If I use sandpaper it will be the same grit the call came with.

Do you know what grit sandpaper came with the call?

I emailed Mr. Hanks last year after getting the call asking the same question. He recommended sandpaper and said in his opinion the conditioning stone "deadens" the sound. Since then I've used sandpaper and haven't had any problem. And as he builds them I figure he knows more about it than I do lol. It may sound the exact same with a stone, I just haven't tried it.

I fet like it did not sound as good with a stone. Sticking with sand paper for now on
