Any of you fellas ever drilled and tapped your own guns? Got a Rem 870 receiver I want done..... thinking of doing it myself.

On my 835 I wanted the fast fire to sit further up from the back holes so I did it myself. It was easy because the 835 has those milled groves on top that show you the exact center line.
The 870 was milled plain flat, didnt want to risk getting it cocked sideways so off to the smith it went...$40 bucks.

That's pretty much the same for me.... 835 was easy. 870 needs to be done soon.
On your 870, was your poa/poi good enough to stay with a bead or did you have to go with a sight?.

Nope, it was close but needed help. No matter what choke I tried it shot about 3" dead to the right. Elevation was always spot on though....
