:welcomeOG:  835's love chokes in the .670-.676 range for most ammo.  Pure Gold, Sumtoy, Indian Creek are a few.  I shoot a .670 Pure Gold with 3 1/2" Hevi 7's and get over 300 in a 10" circle.  There are many 835 guys on here that will give you their recommendations.  GREAT turkey gun.

First of all, welcome to OG. I see it's your first post. We're glad to have you here and look forward to hearing more from you.

I like 835s, own a couple and have had one since about the time they were introduced. Your gun, the tactical, with it's very short barrel, was the reason that I published the article on "Deep Cleaning" many years ago, after sharing that information with many shooters of short-barrelled 835s. That information is as critical today as it was then, and I'd recommend that you read the information and give it a try before you do  anything else as far as patterning http://allaboutshooting.com/blogs/blog/tagged/deep-cleaning-a-shotgun-barrel

The very short barrels on the tactical gun make them handy in the woods but they can be "challenging" to pattern. After you've deep cleaned the bore, I'd suggest that you start the process with 3" shells with #6 shot. I'd recommend the WLB shells with 1 7/8 oz or the Hevi-13 shells with 2 oz. of #6 shot. As far as chokes go, I believe I've tried them all and in the work that I did for the NWTF for an article on the best chokes for various guns (7 guns and 32 chokes) the very best were the Hevi-13 choke and the SSX They were both pretty close in numbers and both threw even patterns with no large (2" or more) gaps. http://allaboutshooting.com/products/hevi-13-turkey-choke-mossberg-835-935-12-gauge-335 and http://allaboutshooting.com/products/12-gauge-ssx-mossberg-835-935-75

I hope that helps some and again, welcome to OG.

Thanks,
Clark

Id bought a sumtoy for mine and it worked great with everything I shot out of it. When I switched to TSS I'd also switched to an undertaker tube. He difference in density was pretty much nothing but it was the last in the gun and I just never changed it back. I've not used the 2 chokes that Clark recommended but did use a PureGold .670 and it was a great tube as well.
