Now that is the truth right yonder !

I got a kick out of this post...I am a native Kansan, still live here but have lived in Memphis, TN, Nebraska and Colorado at different times in my life.  I talked funny in Memphis LOL.

From your post I surmise you were at least in Central Kansas but probably Western???

BowBendr

^^ yep, west of central ^^
This topography is boggling my mind. 7 just flew down off roost and walked all the way around me to get behind me. Haven't had 1 bird work straight in, they roam as they come in...puzzling. Messed me up enough to just flat miss one 15 min ago. Sitting here taking a break in the shade before going after the other ones I hear hammering.

I own a farm in south central KS (live in northeast KS) and I hunt Rios on our farm...I don't think they have ever read the turkey hunting books that say the hens should leave the toms in midday etc.  The toms on our farm have several hens with them 99% of the time.

surehuntsalot

it's not the harvest,it's the chase

They seem to do that in north central, too.

I think we must've hunted the same place in KS! :toothy12:
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

Wonder what they'd think of my Minnesota accent?!

Oh geez.

Is your ice house still out?  When does eelpout close down?

Skeeters are gonna be bad this year.  That's the state bird of Minnesota ya know.
