    I've read reviews, mixed of +/- , so I held off on buying a Winchester..

    Your issues & treatment steered me to  buy a Weatherby SC459.

Sad turn around time. I won't purchase a new Winchester anytime soon.

The big thing that all must realize here is that these guns aren't technically Winchester guns. I get it, it's got their name on it so they're held accountable. However, like everything else, they've just farmed out the jobs to another country to increase their profit margin. I can't blame them for that one bit because if the money's not coming in, the lights don't stay on. Lots of the guns manufactured in Turkey are fine. Good guns actually. Not necessarily the best for fit and finish but good guns that perform as they should. Winchester just happened to get paired up with the wrong department on this one. Their other products are fine. It just happens to be this particular line.
