Just out of curiosity, what has been the hardest kicking shell you have used for turkey hunting? I have only shot 3". Mine would be #6 Turkey Thugs.

Longshanks

Nitro 3.5, Win HV 3.5, Hevi 13 Magblend 3.5.

Probably either the 3.5" Win HVs or Nitros.  I'm not sure which was worse, but they were both near the top of the list.

Any 3 1/2" shell in a pump gun will rock your world.

Same here.  Turkey Thugs kill on both ends.

Nitros kick as hard as anything I have ever shot or ever care to shoot.

I think they all kick pretty hard!

It's hard for me to imagine anything hitting harder than a 3.5" mag blend. There has to be a way of quantifying kick in joules of energy or something

Agreed!  A newer 870 SM with the MagBlends bruised my middle finger behind the trigger guard every time I shot it.

We bought some Federal with seems like it was 2&3/8 oz of shot. In a 3&1/2" shell.
That was the hardest kicking shell  I've shot.
