SA-459 sight options

I would really like to get rid of the ghost ring on the rear of the gun.  I would like to get a notch type sight, but am having trouble finding anything that will work.  Is it that big of a deal to change it out?  I know I will get used to it, and I have shot it at 2 turkeys and both came home with me, but would really love a more conventional rifle sight.  I do not want a scope or a dot (I have a red dot that would fit it that I no longer use).  Any thoughts?  Should I take it after the season to my buddy that loves to build AR type weapons?  Would he be able to outfit it with a rear notch sight do you think?  Just something I have been wondering.  I will use as is this season, so I am not in a rush.  I figured maybe some of ya'll are more up on these type of sights.

I would think any rear ramp sight could be mounted to the picatinny rail.  The trick will be to get the correct height.  Why don't you like the ghost ring?  I can't see red dots myself so was hoping to add a ghost ring with two fiber or tritium dots on either side.

I don't know why I just don't feel it.  I have shot iron sight rifles (Model 94, 10/22, Remington 572) and love them. Also shoot shotguns with tiny front sights  (if any) and a vent rib - both eyes open.  I know with repetition the ghost ring will become second nature as well, I just don't feel like putting that amount of time in.  According to lots of rifle shooting experts, it is more accurate than a V or U notch, but that comes with range time.
