All the more reason to go with the .655.

Just for the record, I could not get any of the Indian Creek tubes to pattern any load to my liking in my SBE or my M1.  The Jellyhead .655 and the Kicks .655 were the choke tubes that patterned best in those guns.

i had the jelly head 655 in mine and the IC 665 patterned much better at 40.

In both of my Benelli's the Jellyhead .655 out patterned both the IC .660 and .665 with Hevi-Shot #6's and #7's.

right but we are talking about a stoeger not a M2 or SBE...granted they are made with the same stuff but still a different gun.

Just realized I failed to mention my 2000 is the SteadyGrip model with a 24 inch barrel. Not sure if the barrel length is much of a factor in the correct choke, but thought it might be. Neill

same on mine that was the same setup i posted pics of above of the 244 count.

+2.

Im also running the pistol grip 24 " barrel. Have a second one that I use for duck hunting. Came with 28 and 24 inch barrell and straight stock and pistol grip.

I have an M1 and a SBE1.  Barrel dimensions are the same as the Stoeger 2000.

Anyone else shooting Winchester Xtendeds out of their Stoeger besides savduck? Seems everyone else has mentioned Hevi13's, but Xtendeds are more easily available locally.

how is the recoil on the stoeger

Kicks, but that is to be expected because of the weight. I have an 11-87 that is probably over a pound heavier, plus the gas operationg system supposedly spreads the recoil over a longer time. It kicks to, to me. I have had problems flinching in the past, so was a little concerned with shooting the Stoeger. However, like always, when shooting turkeys, I never notice. When patterning or sighting in, they both kick like hell, so all in all, I'd rather tote around the Stoeger all day as the Remington.  :) Neill

i shot them for 2 years and killed 8 birds with them....they were good but switched to hevi this year just to try it out. The hevi pattern better overall in mine though.
